Some of the primary characters in Carl Barks' funny animal comic book stories tend to be perceived as less than successful in several situations. But although they are seen in an unflattering light, they have all had their red-letter days as well. Gyro flies to an island to try out his new survival kit, which transforms sand into delicious food. He has the time of his life.


U$48 Jonah Gyro

Gyro catches more fish than the other anglers due to an efficient toy salmon he has invented.


WDCS153 'Lakeside Fishing'

Gyro successfully breeds a very special type of clever worms that drag fish out of the water. Donald is hooked...


U$27 The Firefly Tracker

Gyro is dismissed from the Congress of Inventors when he presents his firefly tracker. Then he prevents a train accident and wins first prize.


WDCS199 'Bigger and Bigger'

Gyro invents an outstanding imagining helmet, which can make the bearer imagine anything he wishes. Donald is the first to try it out.


U$39 Finny Fun

Gyro invents a wand that will make fish perform. The invention is rejected until he uses it to get whales to pull a ship off some rocks.


U$23 'How to Swim'

Gyro is unwilling to use his water wings, which proves that he cannot swim, so he uses all sorts of other means to solve his problems. In the end he returns to the water wings and has a great time in his pool.


FC1184 Monsterville

Gyro is hired to change Duckburg into a place with perfect weather, all sorts of comfort, and lots of leisure time for its citizens, who praise him for his marvelous achievements.


U$14 'Petrol Power'

Gyro is busy: He has to invent a new car fuel, he has to move a garden wall, and the neighbourhood kids are a nuisance. But all problems are miraculously solved and Gyro can relax in his hammock.
