This is a page about Native Americans - or as Carl Barks described them in his comic books and his paintings - the Indians. It is in fact quite amazing to learn how often Barks actually drew Indians. Sometimes they merely served as background, but many times they played active parts in the plots. Not only that, he introduced us to a broad variety of them - genuine ones such as Incas, invented ones such as Peewees, and fake ones such as the ducks in various disguises. Barks even managed to form a whole plot around Indians from outer space (U$29 Island in the Sky), but we will not be looking at them here. This page only gives you examples of Barks' great versatility when it came to portraying the Native Americans.
