Carl Barks knew a few professors during his lifetime, but they were nothing like the ones he portrayed in his comic book stories. Barks almost always chose to show the kind of professors that populate most comics, i.e., the strange-looking and absent-minded ones. He must also have had great fun inventing their ridiculous - and funny - names.

The following picture gallery contains a modest collection of the more memorable professors in no particular order. Please note that the gallery for obvious reasons only mentions characters Barks drew, which means that the ones that are mentioned but not seen, such as Professor Rhutt Betlah from The Bummingham School of English from FC0223 Lost in the Andes, will not be found here.

BONUS
Barks never used any of the above professors as recurring characters. Even the only recurring professor from the Disney universe that Barks used, was only used once by him. This is Donald Duck's other uncle - Ludwig von Drake. He appeared in the one-pager U$54 Flowers are Flowers.
