Participants: Host (and super fan of Disney paraphernalia with emphasis on the comic book characters from the Donald Duck and the Mickey Mouse universes) Malcolm Willits, managers Bruce Hamilton and Russ Cochran, artists Carl Barks and Floyd Gottfredson with spouses Garé and Mattie - Location: Willits' mansion at Wentworth Avenue, Pasadena, California. - Occasion: An informal gathering celebrating the two artists' combined 100 years association with the Walt Disney Company. - Time: Sunday December 5, 1982 at 6 p.m.

The evening commenced in a relaxed fashion, in which the two undisputed Disney legends from their own special universes (the duckman Barks and  the mouseman Gottfredson) got acquainted (they had never really met before!), but they did, nevertheless, have a lot of common ground (see more HERE under Similarities, and an astonishing revelation HERE under the first section), and they would continue to meet later on. This day they strolled Willits' garden and were shown his vintage 1938 V-16 Cadillac limousine, the very same that he used when visiting Carl and Garé for the first time in 1961!!! Later on, there were autographing and photographing sessions as well as a nice dinner.
This page presents some of the photographs that were taken that successful evening.
