Carl Barks must have loved placing small, irrelevant and inconspicuous drawings and events inside his normal panels, because he did so on numerous occasions - and with no other reason than to bring a smile to the reader's face. The small drawings were extremely diverse; they showed loony ideas, surprising contrasts, silly inventions, play on words. And most of them are hard to detect; some objects are so small that you may need a looking glass to see them such as the figurine of a duck Napoleon placed in the far background of one of the panels.
It is almost certain that you will not recall having seen all the examples 'hidden' in the panels. Therefore, you will in each case be presented with the full panel in order to make it easier for you to recall the overall context (the big picture). The drawback is, that it might still be difficult to make out the often quite tiny subjects...

Some of Barks' most famous and treasured tomfoolery are undoubtedly the often running gags in which Little Helper starred. However, he is not the topic here, because his actions often were the first you would observe in the panels. These pages only give you examples of the inconspicuous kind. If you, after having viewed the pages, should wish to see more examples you might want to go to other pages such as The Birds, The Caricatures, The Fishes, The Peculiarities, The Pigs, The Sculptures, The Vignettes. Examples in Barks' comics are plentiful, but you have to look very carefully for them!
