Donald Duck's three nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, were mainly portrayed in two different ways in Carl Barks' comic book stories. Either they were the kids that their general appearances led us to believe, or they acted more like responsible adults in small bodies. This page contains examples of the nephews' toys in their 'role' as kids, and it is interesting to see that Barks did not always just draw the toys as mere background - sometimes they even played leading parts...

NB.: In this page you will only find the kind of the nephews' leisure-time objects that one usually refers to as playthings. THE EVERGREENS

THE OVERWHELMING
Barks drew a number of stories in which misunderstandings were the driving force. The nephews wanted normal - and small - toys, but that was not necessarily what they ended up with.

The nephews are seldom seen with large amounts of toys (it would serve no purpose), but in a few stories Barks gave in.
