This page has been divided into two groups of characters: the ones that Barks invented himself and the ones he used from the Disney universe. The common denominator being that he only used all of them once or twice.

Considering the incredible amount of characters that Barks invented for his stories over the years it is evident that many of them will be especially remembered because they stood out in some way. It is clearly an impossible task to show them all and you will no doubt miss some of your favourites. Therefore, just look at these examples as a well-meant attempt to show the multifaceted Barks in his most inventive mood.

Though he will always be known as The Duckman he occasionally borrowed other Disney animal characters for his stories and these are shown at the bottom of this page.
