From 1950 to 1954 a total of 5 issues of Vacation Parade were published. The series was continued by 3 issues of Picnic Party from 1955 to 1957. All 8 issues contained from 100 to 132 pages.

The series ran at irregular intervals for many years. Its title seems somewhat puzzling partly because it only contained 84 pages, and partly because a number of other Dell series were also called Giants on the covers! The front covers for DG38 and DG39 were painted by Norm McGary after ideas and sketches by Barks.

Some series had a relatively short life span. Summer Fun came in few issues containing 80 pages with different characters such as Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Huckleberry Hound, and Tom & Jerry. Dell One Shots contained 36 pages. Donald Duck Album also contained 36 pages and was only published in 2 issues. Comics Digest contained 196 pages and came in 5 issues. It was a pocket book in 2-tiers.
