All of the primary characters in Carl Barks' funny animal comic book stories have had their ups and downs through the years. When they failed, they always had a price to pay in the end, whether it be loss of prestige, credibility, reputation, or money. This page gives a few examples of some of Daisy Duck's most regrettable moments based on her characteristics and moods.

WDCS064 'Temper Control' TEMPERAMENTAL: It is surprising to learn just how un-ladylike Daisy can be - with poor Donald as the target. In this story she gets agitated because Donald happens to point out that she has a bad temper!!!	WDCS091 'Monkeying Around' GULLIBLE: On rare occasions Daisy displays a certain gullibility as in this story, where she (and the nephews) are hypnotized into believing that they are monkeys during a garden party.	WDCS073 'Golden Problems' BATTLEAXY: Daisy has little patience with Donald when he, in her views, does not perform to her satisfaction. In this story she smashes a gift, a gold watch, for which he has been saving up for a long time.
FC1055 The Beauty Queen NARCISSISTIC: Daisy seeks the anonymity of Grandma's farm in order to forget that she is not a well-known beauty. Then, by chance, she gets discovered and has ample opportunity to 'bask in the sun'...	WDCS250 Boxed In OPINIONATED: Daisy has a strong will and she sometimes sees Donald as inferior to her intellect. In this story she repeatedly - and against Donald's advice - takes the wrong turns on their way to a picnic.	FC1150 A Sticky Situation CHAUVINISTIC: Daisy is tired of hearing that men can do anything better than women. So she decides to climb Precipice Peak that no man has ever climbed. But she fails and is rescued by - a man...
FC1150 Too Much Help IMPULSIVE: Daisy and Gladstone rush to Grandma's farm. They are under the impression that she desperately needs help. As it turns out they are wrong!	WDCS308 The Beauty Business JEALOUS: Daisy nourishes a distinct and unbecoming trait of jealousy, which blossoms when she momentarily loses control over Donald and his whereabouts.	WDCS224 'Beachcombers' Party' VANE: Like most (all!?) ladies, Daisy is vain. Sometimes, as in this story, a mirror and a comb means more to her than anything else.
WDCS079 'Picnic Spoilers' REVENGEFUL: In this story we witness one of Daisy's least seen traits after she and Donald have been harassed numerous times by the mischievous nephews, who try to spoil their romantic picnic. She ends up applauding Donald's physical punishing of his nephews...	FC1150 Ring Leader Roundup MISCHIEVOUS: Daisy is known to mock Donald when given a chance. In this story she flaunts a big diamond ring, which Donald believes comes from a suitor. She also loves to play Donald and Gladstone against each other and see them fight over her.	WDCS224 'Beachcombers' Party' TWO-TIMING: Daisy is often seen as somewhat bitchy in her relationship with Donald - especially when Gladstone is near! She simply loves to set them up against each other! Using small but subtle means she can wrap them around her little finger...
