PANORAMA PANELS

(Not an official technical term.) The normal space occupied by two panels has been used for one stretched panel instead. The benefits are obvious, as you would know if you have seen films in the Cinemascope format; you can incorporate considerably more elements in a Panorama Panel and you can show certain actions in a much more persuasive way. If you imagine that you cut any of the below examples down to a normal panel size, you will clearly see, how much information would be lost in the process.
Barks drew thousands of Panorama Panels in his stories, because he understood their great potential. Many of them are scattered around this website, and a few has been displayed in specific sections such as The JW Magazine and The Waves.
