PRELIMINARY PAINTING

FINISHED PAINTING

DAM DISASTER AT MONEY LAKE

Year of issue: 1986
Barks' own numbering system: 131
Lithograph number: 8
Number of ordinary lithographs: 345
Original painting size: 510x635millimeters

Comments: The basic idea came from FC0386 Only a Poor Old Man from 1952. The lake featured in the story was nameless, but the name for the painting is, of course, logical, and Barks used it for several paintings in the 1970s, in which the main motif was that of Donald and Scrooge sitting in a rowboat, while the nephews were seen on land.
