TELEVISION CARTOONS
The television series DuckTales was
produced from 1987 to 1990 with a total of 100 episodes, and it
is still seen in syndication all over the globe. Let it be clear
that Barks had nothing to do with the series at all. Still, apart
from the fact that a number of his own primary characters (such
as Scrooge McDuck, Magica de Spell, the Beagle Boys, Flintheart
Glomgold, and Gyro Gearloose) are frequent participants in the 22-minute
shows, some of Barks' work was actually incorporated in a number
of the cartoons. Some of the ideas were only mentioned in passing,
while others were more recognizable renderings to his comic book
fans. In some of the shows Barks was mentioned in the credits,
and in others he was not.
The episodes in which Barks' name and/or stories were involved
are listed below (the numbers in front of the DuckTales
episode titles refer to the series' numbering system). You should
be aware that all the shows have been divided into 2 or 3 parts,
of which the direct links below only refer to the first episode.
The remaining can be easily found afterwards.
